I was fortunate enough to photograph a themed bridal wedding shoot at the very picturesque and interesting (but challenging!) location of Curbar Edge, in the Peak District, Derbyshire.
I say interesting, as the scenery and general atmosphere of the place is pretty glorious. Challenging, as the weather on the day of the shoot was, to say the least; wild! Blustery, cold and heavy rain. While worrying for my equipment, I was okay relatively. I could wear a coat and even hold and umbrella. But the two poor models had no such fortune, having to float around in their wedding apparel. Hannah especially, in her sleeveless wedding dress, braved the elements until she was shaking like a leaf! It was then we had to surrender to the conditions. I didn't get everything I'd hope to capture by a long way. But we got enough to make it worthwhile!
Models, Hannah Rewston and Brogran Moreby are actually a real life couple. So as well as being an arranged themed shoot, it was also essentially a real life shoot of a happy couple. This was really nice as the chemistry and happiness between Hannah and Brogan was totally genuine..
But of course, what set this apart from a more regular couple or engagement shoot was the team behind everything. Hair, make up and dress being supplied by some great wedding specialists from the Midlands as per below:
